Coming on your own? Half our reunions are solo bookings β€” you already know how quickly a Pure Trails group becomes your people.
// One for the Pure Trails family
This weekend is for guests who've travelled with us before. It's not a taster, not a sales pitch β€” just an excuse to get everyone back together.
You've already done the miles with us. Come do a few more.

This one's for the Pure Trails family β€” anyone who's already shared a trail, a meal or a fireside evening with us somewhere in the world. No pitch, no upsell, no itinerary to prove anything. Just a proper weekend back together.

We've kept it exactly as simple as it should be: a wild stretch of Exmoor, guided trails at whatever pace suits the group, good food, and evenings by the fire where the team shares the real stories from our own biggest adventures β€” UTMB, the Winter Spine, Dragon's Back and more.

Stay in a communal bunkhouse at Northcombe. Run brilliant coastal and moorland trails. Catch up with people you met on the other side of the world, and meet a few new faces who get it too. That's the whole weekend.

Everything you need. Nothing you don't.

Welcome Back to Northcombe

Highlights
After arriving at our Northcombe base (check-in from 5pm), we kick things off with a gentle shakeout run across the surrounding moors β€” a chance to catch up mid-stride before the evening properly begins. Dinner is a home-cooked communal feast around the wood-burning stove, followed by the first round of fireside stories from the team.

After a home-cooked breakfast, we head out on a guided trail run across the wild heart of Exmoor β€” open moorland, steep valleys and wide horizons, fully supported throughout. Exmoor Day 3
Day 03 Β· Sunday
Until Next Time
Departure day
Highlights
One last communal breakfast and time to say our goodbyes β€” not for long, though. That's rather the point of these weekends.
Northcombe Camping Barn, Exmoor.
Northcombe Camping Barn Exmoor
// Dulverton, Exmoor
Northcombe Camping Barn

A classic stone-built barn tucked in the heart of the Exmoor landscape β€” Basecamp in the truest sense. Large open-plan living and dining area with a wood-burning stove, bunk-style sleeping for up to 16, dedicated games room and minutes from some of the best trails in the UK. On-site parking for 15 cars.

Who comes back for this.
You've been on a Pure Trails adventure before, anywhere in the world, and you miss the people, the trails, or both.
You want a low-key, low-cost weekend with familiar faces rather than another big trip to plan and save for.
You're curious what the team's actually like away from the day job β€” the fireside talks are as much for us as they are for you.
All abilities welcome, as always. Guided, social, fully supported β€” nobody's left behind, and nobody's racing anyone.
// Any questions?
Just get in touch.

You already know how we work β€” no pressure, no sales pitch. If you're not sure it's for you, or just want to check the dates suit, drop us a line.

Important Notes

Am I fit enough for this? +

Absolutely. All running abilities are welcome at Basecamp. Our runs are designed to be social and "cruisey." With a high guide-to-runner ratio, we ensure everyone is supported, whether you’re a seasoned runner or someone just finding their trail legs.

What about food and dietary requirements? +

We’ve got you covered. We provide delicious, home-cooked communal meals throughout the weekend. We can cater for all dietary requirements (vegan, GF, etc.)β€”just let us know when you book.

We have one night out for dinner in the local pub (excluded), however they can cater for dietary requirements and we'll share the menu with you in advance.

Is there parking on site? +

Yes, there is plenty of space for those driving. Northcombe has on-site parking for up to 15 cars, so you can arrive and leave your vehicle safely for the duration of the weekend.

What if I don't drive? How do I get there? +

The nearest train station is Taunton. From there, you can take a bus to Jury Road Garage in Dulverton. From the stop, it is about a 25-minute uphill walk, or we can arrange to collect you if timings work.

Bedding & WiFi +

Bedding: Visitors must bring their own pillows, sleeping bags or quilts. Warm clothing is highly advisable.

WiFi: Northcombe is a place to get away from it all so there is no WiFi on-site. Guests are welcome to use the WiFi at Woods Bar in Dulverton for free.

Can I come on my own? +

90% of our guests arrive solo. The communal nature of the barn and the shared miles on the moor mean you’ll have a new running tribe by Friday night dinner.
