Mamaral Bomerano
// Bomerano, Amalfi Coast
Mamaral

A classic family-run B&B in the heart of the Amalfi Coast — surrounded by vines and farmland, a slice of paradise among the bustle of the tourist towns. We love it for the amazing panoramic views from its lofty hilltop location, the warmth of the welcome on arrival, and the fact that the Path of the Gods trailhead starts just metres from the front door.

Important notes.

Naples airport is a 1.5 hour drive to Sorrento. We'll be running a group transfer at a set time (late morning — time TBC). If you are arriving earlier you can opt to meet us at the hotel in Sorrento, which is easy to access via regular ferries that depart from Naples.

On the final day we'll also be running a group transfer back to the airport for everyone after breakfast. Please arrange for your onward flights to depart in the morning.

Absolutely. We run the aid stations ourselves and can cater for everyone with picnic lunches.

Breakfasts are hosted by our hotels and any dietary requirements can be easily handled. In the evenings we head out to local Italian restaurants where vegetarian and vegan diets can be accommodated — though bear in mind that cheese and dairy do feature heavily on menus, so choice may be more limited.

This is an iconic trail for good reason — the scenery is out of this world. As we travel along the route, it evolves from terraced hilltop farms with shrubs and crops on day one, to sparkling Mediterranean coastal cliff trails that roam from town to village.

This dramatic landscape means we spend good time descending and ascending, but with very manageable daily distances we've made this trip suitable for all abilities.

We will send you a complete packing list in advance of the trip so you are clear on exactly what to bring. If you have any questions in the meantime, just drop us a message at explore@pure-trails.com.

This trip is suitable for all abilities of runner, but you should have a base level of fitness to handle three days of back-to-back running. It's worth drawing your attention to the elevation involved — being coastal trails with a variety of mountains, you should expect a reasonable amount of climbing as well as descending as we weave our way along the chain.

Our goal is not to run a race, but for everybody to experience a beautiful journey.

Every trip we have ever run has a mixture of people and abilities. These are not training camps but adventures designed for experience — you can expect plenty of stops and a lot of laughter each day.

We also have two running guides on this trip which means we can split the group with zero pressure around how fast or slow you'd like to run.
